Our story

We have a real desire to make a positive contribution to our community and so a number of years ago the Elim Community Trust was established.  This Trust identified a need for quality care and education in Cambridge that supports all members of the community. As a result the Early Learning Centre was opened in 2009 and was a natural expansion of the already established out of school programs.  Our team of experienced and qualified teachers provide loving care and education for all our families through small groups and great ratios. If you would like to experience this for yourself, come and visit us and have a look around.

Our Philosophy

We believe that life is an adventure and children learn through loving relationships that celebrate the unique identity of each child.
Our natural play curriculum nurtures our tamariki to be curious learners and empowers them to be explorers of their unfolding world.

Our Core Values
Whaungatanga - Relationships
We value respectful relationships with tamariki, their whanau and our Elim community. We create a joyful journey of learning through nurturing the beauty and potential in each other
Matatoa - Adventure
Unravelling children's learning is a treasure that we cherish.  Tamariki are empowered to curiously explore their world through play.
Piripono - Faith
Our belief is that each individual is created with unique gifts and talents that we honour and celebrate. Therefore we are faithful in our love and advocacy for our tamariki and their whanau aspirations.
