Grow. Learn. Thrive.

Elim is a quality care and education provider located centrally in Cambridge at 8 Wordsworth Street

At Elim your child will LEARN that they are uniquely created and TALENTED. They will find JOY in friendship and community, and they will discover the ADVENTURE of the world around them as they GROW and LEARN alongside our loving and caring team of teachers.

Here is What We Offer!

We recognise that many of our whanau need to work out of Cambridge and so accommodate travelling needs with longer hours than many other centres.

We are open from 7.15am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday throughout the year and closed for Public Holidays. We accept children from infancy through to school age. Special considerations are given to children under 6 months of age on a case by case basis.

0 - 6 Year Olds

We provide children with excellent multifaceted developmental learning in a beautful setting.  Our curriculum supports a natural play approach to learning which enables each child to develop the necessary skills and abilities in their individual ways. These strength-based programmes will help your child to thrive and prepare them for the school years ahead.

We believe in quality education that is affordable for our community and our fees reflect this with a number of different options available.  This includes short, standard or longer day options with all meals and snacks included in the fees.

Supporting our families is very important to us and one of the ways we do this is by offering discounts for:

  • families with more than one child attending
  • families with Mums or Dads on paternity leave
  • children between ages 2-3yrs of age

20 Hours Free - ECE subsidy

The 20 free hours may be used for children over the age of 3 years of age.  These hours must be used in line with our fee options. 20 hours ECE

Our Food

Mealtimes at Elim Early Learning Centre are included as an enjoyable part of our curriculum.  Nutritious quality meals are provided every day and children are often involved in collection of fresh vegetables from the garden and food preparation to support development of self-help skills.
Our table settings are small and intimate much like those you would have at home, allowing children to enjoy each other’s company. Children are encouraged and empowered to serve themselves in a peaceful and unhurried manner, developing an understanding of self-help and their own needs.
